Partners
The Kansas and Missouri Departments of Transportation have been working with first
responders for more than two years as a part of Kansas City Scout's Traffic Incident
Management (TIM) Program. However, on July 23, 2009 the partnerships were further
solidified when first responders from more than 50 KC Metro fire, law enforcement,
towing and recovery, media, motorist assist, and other agencies signed a new One
Accord Agreement.
The agreement is a resolution that unifies the agencies with KC Scout in TIM for
the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. Working together through the program, and using
KC Scout's system of cameras and message boards, has helped agencies cut the time
necessary to clear an incident by two and a half hours.
